Is PanorVoice free?
Yes. PanorVoice is free for unlimited personal use. There is no license key, subscription, or trial wall.
Does my audio leave my computer?
On the local path, speech is transcribed on your device and does not need to leave your machine. Cloud ASR is optional and only runs when you choose a cloud provider with your own API keys.
Which platforms are supported?
The macOS app is ready now for macOS 15.0 or later. A Windows 10/11 (64-bit) app is coming soon; the installer will appear on the download section when published.
How do I start dictating on Mac?
Download the DMG, install PanorVoice, allow Microphone and Accessibility, pick a model under Models, then use Right Option in Hybrid, Push to Talk, or Toggle mode.
What is the Windows hotkey?
When the Windows app ships, dictation uses Ctrl+Shift+Space from any app, matching the same speak-then-paste workflow as Mac.
Can I use OpenAI or Groq?
Yes. Under Models you can choose Local, Cloud, or Custom. Optional OpenAI, Groq, or a custom ASR endpoint works with keys you provide. Keys are stored in Keychain on Mac and DPAPI on Windows.
Where does the text go when I stop recording?
When you stop, PanorVoice pastes the transcript into the focused field in whatever app you were already using, such as Slack, email, docs, or your editor.
What is PanorVoice Refine?
Refine is an on-device enhancement on Mac that cleans transcripts. You download it once from Models and it runs locally.
